Bridgerton Season 2 To Have Fewer Intimate Scenes As Compared To Season 1?

Bridgerton, a show popular for its intimate scenes, might be cutting down on its ultimate selling point if reports are to be believed. Fans of the show will not be happy to know that there will be fewer sex scenes in season 2 of the show, as compared to season 1.

Bridgerton season 2 is one of the most anticipated sequels of 2022 as the series will be returning with another love story of yet another Bridgerton sibling. The series is based on author Julia Quinn's series by the same name, which consists of eight novels capturing the romantic rendezvous of the eight Bridgerton siblings namely Daphne, Anthony, Gregory, Hyacinth, Benedict, Eloise, Colin and Francesca. While Season 1 focussed on Daphne, season two will be about Anthony's romantic adventures.

Bridgerton Season 2 Intimate Scenes: Lesser 'Lust And Flirtation' Than Season 1?

One of the reasons that made the Bridgerton season 1 hugely popular was its intimate scenes. The steamy romance and sexual tension between Daphne and The Duke Of Hastings indulged the audience and their chemistry made the story even more interesting in live-action. Season 1 was based on Quinn's first novel of the Bridgerton book series, titled The Duke & I. The second one will be based on The Viscount Who Loved Me.

While in season 1, the show didn't shy away from capturing Daphne and The Duke's sexual chemistry in all its glory, reports suggest that season 2 will focus on the love story of Anthony Bridgerton and Kate Sharma and their romance will not progress beyond flirtations. One of the reasons for toning down on the scenes could be that Daphne and The Duke Of Hastings will now be peripheral characters in season 2, as reported by The Sun.

Meanwhile, the season 2 is all set to release on Netflix on March 25 and will be led by Jonathan Bailey as Anthony Bridgerton, Simone Ashley as his love interest Kate Sharma. Actors Charithra Chandran, Nicola Coughlan, Shelley Conn, Golda Rosheuvel and Adjoa Andoh will also star in the series among others.
