For serious movie fans and cinephiles, the Tom Hanks-led Hollywood production Forrest Gump requires no introduction. The official Hindi version of this classic movie is Laal Singh Chaddha. This movie, one of the most talked-about Bollywood remakes of the year, has Kareena Kapoor Khan and Aamir Khan in the key roles. The two actors reunited after Talaash.The film experienced many delays due to the ongoing pandemic before getting finally released.
Jersey
Another popular Bollywood remake is Jersey, starring Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur. This movie also experienced multiple delays, first because of the pandemic and later to avoid a box office conflict. Jersey is a sports drama that was first released in Telugu and starred Nani and Shraddha Srinath.
Vikram Vedha
The super hit Tamil film Vikram Vedha, starring Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead parts, was inspired by the Indian folktale Baital Pachisi. The original movie's directing team, Pushkar-Gayathri, revealed in 2018 that they will also be in charge of the Bollywood adaptation of the same name. Saif Ali Khan and Hrithik Roshan have been brought on board this Bollywood remake. The movie releases today-on September 30, 2022.
Hit: The First Case
Actors Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra appeared in the Hindi action thriller film Hit: The First Case, a remake of the 2020 Telugu film of the same name. Rao plays the role of Inspector Vikram and Malhotra plays opposite him.
Looop Lapeta
Taapsee Pannu starred in Looop Lapeta, the Netflix remake of the German movie Run Lola Run. The movie was released on February 4, 2022. The film was directly released on the OTT platform Netflix.
The comedy thriller film features Pannu as a woman trapped in a time loop trying to save her boyfriend's life.
