Bigg Boss 15 Extended By 2 Weeks, Confirms Show's Anchor Salman Khan

Bigg Boss 15 Extended: The grand finale of Bigg Boss Season 15 has been stalled by two weeks. All the contestants of the show will thus get an extended stay in the Bigg Boss house, and the play the game for two more weeks. The show's finale was expected to take place on January 16 this year but an announcement by the streaming channel changes the discourse a little.

In the show, Bigg Boss contestants are confined in a house filled with cameras for months. They are kept there with necessary rations and other equipment. From time to time, they are given challenges by their host Salman Khan and "Bigg Boss" himself, which helps them either secure themselves and their allies from eviction for a short duration, or avail extra facilities and get more ration. These tasks also add fuel to flaring tempers in the Bigg Boss house. However, it is these spats and schemes to win the tasks that seem to play a big role in the show's popularity.

For years, to survive eviction and to be in news, contestants have strategically played the game and held on to the character each come with. Every season of the franchise has plot twists and new additions like underground jail, amongst others.

This season, Salman Khan announced in the promo of today's episode that the show will be extended by two weeks. Khan said, "There is good news. This show will be extended by two weeks." Reacting to this Rakhi Sawant, who is in the show with her husband screamed in joy.

The Colors TV on Instagram posted, "Gharwaalon ki nayi saptak ki subah hui suhani (Housemates new week started well), Salman ne di contestants ko Bigg Boss extension ki good news (emoji) (Salman have the contestants of Bigg Boss good new about the extension (emoji). Dekhiye #BiggBoss15 tonight at 10:30 PM only on #Colors."

The grand finale will reportedly be held by the end of January 2022 now. It is also being reported that Rajiv Adatia and Vishal Kotian might re-enter the show as wildcard contestants and are currently quarantined for the same purpose. After the elimination of Umar Riaz, there are six contestants in the Bigg Boss house currently.

The finale will take place in a bio bubble and only a quarter of the total crew will be present.
