Bhoot Police Release Date: The much anticipated horror-comedy movie Bhoot Police finally has a release date after it was confirmed that the film will opt for an OTT release. The Jacqueline Fernandez and Saif Ali Khan starrer film was previously set to be released in cinemas but had to go for a digital release due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Bhoot Police is directed by Pavan Kripalani and produced by Ramesh Taurani and Akshai Puri under the banners of TIPS Industries LTD & 12th Street Entertainment. The film features Jacqueline Fernandez, Yami Gautam, Saif Ali Khan and Arjun Kapoor in the lead, while the supporting cast of the film includes Javed Jaffrey, Alexx O’Nell, and Jamie Lever. The shooting of Bhoot Police started in November 2020 and the film has been shot in Himachal Pradesh and Jaisalmer, as per reports.
One of the producers of the film Ramesh Taurani said in an interview that they opted for a digital release because cinema halls might not open before November this year, and even if they do, they will work with only 50 percent capacity.
Bhoot Police Release Date
The makers of Bhoot Police have finally revealed the release date of the much anticipated horror-comedy film on Friday. The film is all set to release digitally on the OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar on September 17 this year. Anyone with a valid subscription of the platform can start streaming the film from said date.
Bhoot Police is one of the many commercial projects that have opted for an OTT release due to uncertainty regarding opening of cinemas in India. Recently, it was revealed that Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt and Sonakshi Sinha starrer Bhuj: The Pride Of India will also have an OTT release on the Independence Day weekend this year. Several films, Hindi and regional alike have had an OTT release this year, the latest being Taapsee Pannu starrer Haseen Dillruba, Prithviraj's Cold Case and Sherni featuring Vidya Balan.
