Who is Rajalakshmi Aggarwal? The Wife of Ola Co-founder Bhavish Aggarwal

Rajalakshmi Aggarwal was a former marketing professional and worked as an Analyst at Ernst and Young and also as a Marketing Manager.

Rajalakshmi Aggarwal is currently in a social worker role and is leading all the initiatives at Ola Foundation since December 2016. Rajalakshmi Aggarwal is married to Bhavish Aggarwal, an Ola co-founder.

Aggarwal graduated with a Master's in Economics from the University of Pune and worked across various consulting and media firms at starting stage of her career.

Aggarwal has successfully conducted several community welfare initiatives with the Asian Youth Centre in Mumbai. Aggarwal has been on the frontier to empower women and their families, since working at the Asian Youth Centre, where she came across first-hand experiences of women living in poor socio-economic conditions.

Rajalakshmi Aggarwal and Bhavish Aggarwal first started dating in  2007, at that time Bhavish has been broke, but Rajalakshmi Aggarwal never left his side. Aggarwal supported him when the days were darker. In one of the interviews with the media channel, the couple shared about their life before Ola. Bhavish said that Rajalakshmi Aggarwal used to pay bills on dates, and he was okay with it. For him, it was a kinda investment. He added, “I’m a Baniya, so I was okay with her paying for our coffee. It was an investment.”

When Ola was in the start-up phase, Bhavish Aggarwal often borrowed his girlfriend Rajalakshmi's car to serve customers.

However, Rajalakshmi Aggarwal credit the success to her spouse's perseverance, passion, and undying excitement that stole her heart.

The couple has been together for 10 years now. They dated for six years and tied the knot in early 2014. Also, the time when Ola cabs made a success and Bhavish Aggarwal became the youngest self-made billionaire with ₹2,385 crores net worth.

Although, not everything is well in the company. The reports have been coming out of abrasive style of management at Ola. The netizens have criticised co-founder Bhavish Aggarwal. A recent news report claimed Bhavish Aggarwal’s relentless pace and management style upset both, employees and board members.

The employees also complained of hostile culture at Ola. The former employees clamied that Bhavish Aggarwal tore up presentations because of a missing page number, liberally used Punjabi epithets towards staff and called teams useless. Ex-NASSCOM official Saha wrote in a LinkedIn post that If this is true then Ola might be one of the most toxic places to work.
