Romcoms are supposedly films with slice-of-life stories that are delivered with lighter undertones as opposed to romance dramas. But all romance films require one thing from viewers: willing suspension of disbelief. While love may have the strength to conquer all, unlike in romcoms, it does not happen in real life.

Angel (Abigail Cowen), who is feeling love for the first time and is confronted with impossible odds of demons, flees the new life she doesn't believe she deserves. When Michael (Tom Lewis) sets out to find her, Angel realises that she has the power to choose the life she desires.
Marry Me
Marry Me is a 2022 romantic comedy-drama film from the United States. Jennifer Lopez, Owen Wilson, Maluma, John Bradley, Sarah Silverman, and Chloe Coleman star in the film, which is based on Bobby Crosby's eponymous comic novel. A pop superstar, Kat Valdez (Jennifer Lopez), is getting married in front of a crowd of her loving fans. She finds out about her fiance's cheating practises seconds before the wedding and decides to marry Charlie Gilbert (Owen Wilson), a math teacher with a 'Marry Me' placard. As events attempt to divide the unusual newlyweds, they must rapidly assess if two people from such different worlds can find true love.

Last Christmas
Last Christmas is a 2019 romantic comedy film starring Emilia Clarke as Kate Andrich, a disillusioned Christmas store employee who develops feelings for a mysterious guy (Henry Golding). Thompson and Michelle Yeoh play supporting roles in the film. For Kate, a dissatisfied Londoner who works as an elf in a year-round Christmas shop, nothing seems to go right. But things quickly improve when she meets Tom, a dashing charmer who appears to be too good to be true.
The Worst Person in the World
The Worst Person in the World is a romantic black comedy-drama film that was released in 2021. Following Reprise (2006) and Oslo(2011), it is the third instalment of the director's 'Oslo Trilogy'. Renate Reinsve, Anders Danielsen, and Lie Herbert Nordrum play the lead characters in the film. The film is structured into 12 chapters, each depicting significant events in her life during the previous four years. Over the course of four years, Julie (Renate Reinsve) is a young woman who navigates the stormy seas of her love life and strives to discover her career path, prompting her to take a realistic look at who she really is.
The Broken Hearts Gallery
The Broken Hearts Gallery is a romantic comedy film released in 2020. Geraldine Viswanathan, Dacre Montgomery, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Molly Gordon, Phillipa Soo, and Bernadette Peters are among the cast members of the film. A New York art gallery assistant, after being dumped by her lover, builds a show of souvenirs from previous relationships. The story follows Geraldine Viswanathan, who plays Lucy Gulliver, a 20-year-old New Yorker who is rejected by her latest lover and decides to open an art museum to display objects from prior relationships.
