The wait for Barbie's teaser trailer release is finally over. The makers released the trailer recently and it is nothing sort of intriguing.
The recently released teaser trailer gives an insight into the world of Barbie, and how a human doll (played by Margot Robbie) will change the course of the magical world of dolls.
The Barbie teaser trailer offers us the much-anticipated first official look of Margot Robbie as the lead. The film is based on a satirical script by Great Gerwig and Noach Baumbach and serves as a brilliant commentary on patriarchy and women in society.
Writer and director Gerwig described the film as "something you did not know you wanted".

Barbie Teaser Trailer
The Barbie teaser ">trailer begins with Dame Helen Mirren's voiceover and a spoof of the science fiction film 2001: A Space Odyssey.
"Since the beginning of time, ever since the first little girl existed, we have seen dolls, but those dolls were forever baby dolls, until...," Mirren can be heard while introducing Robbie's character.
Clips showed children playing with baby dolls in a barren land until a giant Margot Robbie appears. The children stare at Robbie's character in awe before smashing and discarding their old baby dolls.
Short clips also showed Ryan Gosling preparing for a battle, and a dancing Simu Liu, and Issa Rae leading a celebration,
Great Gerwig, who made her directorial debut with Lady Bird, and earned five Academy Award nominations before the same, went a step higher with the adaption of Little Women in 2019, which earned three Oscars.
In a recent press interview, Robbie spoke about the intention of the film and why she believes it will serve as a significant conversation starter in society upon release. "People will first think it's a film about the world of Barbie, but knowing that Greta Gerwig has written it, they must at least have an idea by now that it will be different from everything they imagined."
As a satirical narrative, Gerwig is all set to deliver some thought-provoking conversations with Barbie, something, she says, "you would not expect looking at the title."
Apart from Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, the film features Kate McKinnon, Ncuti Gatwa, Will Ferrell, Issa Rae, Simu Liu, Rhea Perlman, Michael Cera, America Ferrera, Kingsley Ben-Adir and Emerald Fennell among others.
Barbie is all set to release in the theatres on July 21, 2023.
