Recently, many Bollywood actors have taken the route of surrogacy to welcome little ones into their families. Most of them have cared less about keeping surrogacy a secret from the media and society. They have come out and spoken about the much-tabooed topic, somewhat normalising it. Surrogacy is no longer the final option of a couple who cannot have a baby but has become an active option for couples and individuals who want to have a baby specifically via that route.
Chopra and Jonas are not alone in their opting for surrogacy. Bollywood couples and individuals like Gauri Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, Ekta Kapoor, Lisa Ray, Karan Johar, Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra, Kiran Rao and Aamir Khan, Sunny Leone, Preity Zinta and Gene Goodenough, amongst others, have also opted for it in the past.
