Famous Australian singer and social media influencer known to fans as Lil Bo Weep has passed away at the age of 22. In an emotional statement, her father confirmed her death. Lil Bo Weep, whose real name was Winona Brooks, had been vocal about mental health issues on her channels. Her passing has left a legion of fans in grief.
A reason for Lil Bo Weep's death has not been revealed. Her father Matthew Schofield's statement, however, mentioned that they "lost the fight" for the influencer's life "against depression, trauma, PTSD and drug addiction." This was a battle they had been fighting since getting the young woman back from the United States through emergency repatriation.
"She fought hard against her demons as we all did side-by-side next to her and picking up the broken pieces over and over again but she could not fight any more and we lost her," Schofield wrote on Facebook.

Lil Bo Weep began sharing her music journey with the online community in 2015 through SoundCloud, with her art going on to become popular on major platforms like YouTube and Spotify. Codependency and Not OK But It’s OK are two of her most famous tracks, streamed millions of times on Spotify.
She had over a lakh subscribers on YouTube and over 37,000 Instagram followers. Her fans are leaving condolences for her under posts on her social media.
"Rest in peace Winona your music got me through some of my roughest times in life," one Instagram comment read. "I love you. I’m sorry baby girl. In another life. 🖤," read another. "wish you weren't taken from this world so soon. rest in peace Winona," one said.

The last post on her Instagram channel was made five days ago, not long before her death on March 3. In the heartbreaking video, she spoke about losing a child one year ago and about recently finding out that her "fertility has been affected by growing up with a severe eating disorder."
"I may never be able to have a full term pregnancy or have a child of my own due to the way I treated my body," she wrote in the caption. Lil Bo Weep faced complex post-traumatic stress disorder (CPTSD), as per her post.
