Anaya Soni hospitalised: Naamkarann actor Anaya Soni recently revealed that she has been hospitalised in Mumbai for some time now. In her recent social media post the actor went on to say that her kidneys are only two percent functional as of now. Soni requested her followers to help her seek a donor and financial help to get out of the medical situation.

Soni said in a recent interview that she has been living on one kidney since the year 2015 and both the kidneys had failed six years ago. She went on to say that she was living on a kidney that was donated to her by her father, but unfortunately, the donated kidney has deteriorated and she needs a fresh kidney transplant, urgently. "I never dreamt of such a situation when I was doing shows like Naamkarann and Crime Patrol," she told ETimes, adding that she requires transplant to survive.
Soni has worked in various television shows like Adalat, Crime Patrol, Naamkaran and Ishq Mein Marjawan. Last week, she had asked her followers on social media for help and posted a video on Instagram, detailing her health conditions.
"Even lil help is more," the actor wrote in the caption of her post.
Soni said that she has no savings left to attend to her medical bills. She is currently fighting for survival in a Mumbai hospital. They are giving her medicines to bring down my creatinine, which was over nine when she got admitted, Soni said, adding that there's much more on cards, when it comes to medical expenses. "Dialysis has not yet begun, that will take some time. We are also looking for a donor," the actor said in her video.
Claiming that her funds are all dried up, Soni revealed her mother had a garments business, but in another unfortunate incident, her clothes and machines got all burnt some time ago when their house caught fire. "Sab kuch khatam ho gaya (Everything was destroyed). We are just hand-to-mouth now," she shared about her financial woes.
Recently, actor Shagufta Ali too had shared about facing a financial crisis for more than four years on social media. She confessed to selling her car and jewelry to survive the pandemic. The actor said she wasn't keeping well and needed work "to survive".
