In the most recently released Telugu movie Ammu, Aishwarya Lekshmi plays a victim of domestic violence. Ammu follows a woman's journey from being a victim of domestic violence to regaining her inner power, overcoming her personal issues, and returning it to her violent spouse. Ammu starts a new beginning in her life when she marries her next-door neighbour Ravi. However, as Ravi starts abusing her, their relationship gets full of pain for her. After suffering insults and harm, Ammu makes the decision to discipline Ravi. In order to exact revenge on Ravi, Ammu joins forces with the parolee prisoner Prabhu.
