Ammu Cast
Malayalam star Aishwarya Lekshmi plays the title character in the movie, which is her second Telugu film following the recently released action thriller Godse. She also made an appearance in the eagerly awaited Pan-Indian historical drama Ponniyin Selvan: I, which has been met with an overwhelming amount of enthusiasm from the general people.
The movie also stars Bobby Simha and Naveen Chandra apart from Aishwarya Lekshmi. Charukesh Sekar, who also co-wrote the story and the script with Padmavathy, is the film's director. Stone Bench Films, owned by Karthik Subbaraj, produced it.
Talking about the movie, Lekshmi said," Ammu at its core, is a story of empowerment. For me portraying the role of a woman entangled in an abusive relationship was both challenging and in its own way emboldening. As a woman, there’s a lot in Ammu to relate with, most important of which is to always speak one’s truth and stand up for ones’ self."
