Amisha Jain Appointed as Levi's Strauss MD, Here's Everything To Know About Her

Amisha Jain has been named as Levi Strauss & Co.'s new senior vice president and managing director of South Asia, the Middle East, and Africa (SAMEA). She will be in charge of overseeing the company's activities in SAMEA and ensuring that the region continues to drive expansion and growth, contributing to the company's success in Asia and around the world.

In a statement announcing her appointment, Levi Strauss & Co. stated Jain will be responsible for directing the company's operations in the SAMEA area and ensuring that the geography continues to drive expansion and growth, contributing to the company's success in Asia and around the world.

- Jain joins the company with more than 20 years of experience in a variety of industries, including physical and digital retail, consumer goods, and technology, as well as a proven track record of leading profitable, long-term growth and transformation initiatives in both multinational and domestic companies in India.

- In 2018, Zivame, a lingerie company, selected Amisha Jain as its chief executive officer (CEO). Jain boosted Zivame's efforts to provide innovative items to Indian women and to accelerate growth by expanding the company's omnichannel footprint.

- Before joining the lingerie brand, Jain was the head of the Arvind Sports Lifestyle business and the Digital Center of Excellence for the Arvind group.

- Jain has expertise in guiding multi-national and domestic consumer goods and apparel firms through growth and transformation projects.

- When she was Head of Sales at Nike India, she was named to the coveted "40 under 40: India's Hottest Business Leader 2015" and "India Inc's Rising Women Business Leaders 2015" awards by the Economic Times and Spencer Stuart.

- She began her career as an engineer with Motorola Inc. and has worked with companies such as McKinsey & Company, Nike, and Arvind Group in a variety of roles, including sales, operations, and strategy.

- Jain has a master's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington and an MBA from INSEAD.
