The newly-wed actor Ali Fazal turns 36 tomorrow. Fazal and Richa Chaddha's love story is a favourite of many, the two had taken the internet by storm with their dreamy wedding photos.

Ali Fazal and Richa Chaddha met each other on the sets of the film Fukrey in 2012. They had been dating for seven years until they decided to finally tie the knot in 2022 with a grand wedding. Ali Fazal made his Bollywood debut in 3 Idiots in a brief role. Later, he has done some great work in films like Fukrey, Bobby Jasoos, Khamoshiyan, and Fazal has also appeared in Hollywood films that started as Furious 7 and Death On The Nile. Although, Fazal's most popular role was Guddu Bhaiya from the web series Mirzapur. Fazal and Chadha are both talented artists and shared a beautiful courtship before getting married. In 2017, Ali Fazal gifted Richa Chaddha a cat and that was a pretty cute moment shared by the couple. The cat was warmly welcomed to the Chadha family and given the name Jugni. As he gifted the cat, he said, "Richa’s love for cats is well known. The one I got needed a home and she came at such an auspicious time being Richa’s birthday so I decided to gift the cat the best home I could think of. It’s not a gift that was bought like some commodity. I’ve known Richa for a while and very few people know how to unconditionally love other beings. The kitten is in great hands."

Back in 2018, Fazal took to Instagram to post a photo of themselves and he wrote a poem for Chadha. He wrote, "Tum jungalon mein phasi ho.. main bhi jungalon mein dhasa hoon. tumhaare mein kuchh pedh hain kuchh paudhe hain. Humaare yahaan kapat hai , har ek kisi ko raundhe hai. Tum deewaarein dhoond rahi see, main darwaaze dhoond raha saa. Safar nap raha hai dheere dheere.. tumtak humtak. Shaam ko jheel kinaare miloonga. Wahee pedh wahee paudha. Yaad aaya? It is also said that Ali Fazal and his family sent Richa Chadha homemade food when she was on film sets. As she craved for some home-cooked food, her doting beau made arrangements for her. According to reports, a close associate of the actor said, "Richa misses ghar ka khaana and Ali is aware of that. So, in order to make her feel at home and happy, Ali’s family packs in delicacies for Richa which are relished by her team and her. Everyone on the set awaits the dabba because nothing feels better than a delicious home-cooked meal, miles away from home."

It was 2019 and the duo had gone to the Maldives for Richa Chadha's birthday when Fazal popped the big question and she said yes. According to Chadha, it was a thoughtful romantic plan by Fazal. She said in an interview, "He had planned a dinner on a small, secluded island in the Maldives. I thought it was for my birthday — I didn't suspect a thing. We had finished eating and were sipping on champagne while Ali, being his spontaneous self, asked me to marry him. He didn't go down on his knee nor did he have a ring, but that's all right. After that, he took a ten-minute nap on the sand — I think it was because he may have been stressed about the proposal."

The two revealed that they formalised their marriage two years back but the social marriage couldn't happen due to the pandemic and the ups and downs in their lives. So they called their industry friends and celebrated their wedding in a grand way this year.
