Actor Richa Chadha is set to tie the knot with Ali Fazal on October 4. The actor previously confirmed via social media that they would get married in October. They had planned on getting married in April 2020, however, the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown postponed the wedding.
Richa Chadha confirmed earlier this year that they planned on getting married this year. She said, “We are excited to marry, but we also want to be responsible and are just concerned about COVID.”
On September 15, Chadha shared that the couple planned on getting married with a tweet of a GIF that read “New Life Loading”. She wrote “Can’t wait for October” in the caption.

A source reveals Ali Fazal Richa Chadha wedding date to ANI and said they are likely to get married on October 4 in Mumbai. The couple will host a wedding reception for their family and friends a day later. The festivities are set to begin on September 30, and the three pre-wedding functions Cocktail, Sangeet, and Mehendi are likely to be held in New Delhi.
Before the wedding festivities kick off, the actor couple will wrap up their ongoing projects. Chadha is currently working on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming web series Heeramandi, which will stream on the OTT platform Netflix. A song shoot for the web series was delayed and will now wrap up by next week.
Ali is currently working on the third season of the OTT streaming series Mirzapur and will finish up filming before the wedding preparations begin. The couple will travel to Delhi and complete the preparation for the wedding which is set to start in Delhi on September 30.
Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal met on the sets of the film Fukrey in 2012 for the first time. They shared screen space in the sequel Fukrey Returns and the actor duo will soon share the screen once again in the third instalment of the Fukrey series.
The couple has been dating since 2015 and confirmed that they were in a relationship in 2017. They have also had extended cameos in Call My Agent: Bollywood.
