Abhinav Kohli on assault allegations levied by ex-wife Shweta Tiwari: After Shweta Tiwari shared videos of alleged assault, her former partner Abhinav Kohli has issued a fresh new statement to clear some facts about the CCTV footage that was shared by the actor on Monday. Tiwari had shared two videos, though unclear, accusing ex-husband Kohli of physically abusing her and their five-year-old son Reyansh. She claimed that Kohli was trying to snatch their son from her arms and this incident happened in her society. Now, sharing an hour-long video on Instagram, Kohli said that it was Tiwari who wanted to forcefully take Reyansh from his house, not the other way around.
Abhinav Kohli shared four videos from the day of the said incident and said in his Instagram live that he later gave Reyansh to his mother. He captioned the video, “Let the truth Come Out."
The footage Tiwari had earlier shared allegedly shows a man trying to snatch a child from a woman, forcefully. When he finally manages to get the baby, she ends up lying on the floor with several people standing close by and watching the fight. Claiming that the child is Reyansh and after this incident, he is scared of his father, Tiwari wrote, “my child was scared for more than a month, he was so scared that he would not even sleep properly at night!”
In the second video, presumably taken by Tiwari or her daughter Palak Tiwari, Reyansh can be seen hiding under a blanket as a voice, who is making the video, tries to comfort him.
In the video that he released following Tiwari's new claims, Kohli can be seen breaking down into tears, talking about his version of events. He shared videos where Reyansh can be seen crying and saying that he wants to be with his dad. The incident in question apparently happened in October 2020. He also shared some videos where he is playing with Kohli and laughing on his lap.
Kohli went on to say that Tiwari planned to take Reyansh with her to a resort where she was going for a vacation. He can be heard saying that she wanted her ex-husband to convince their son to tag along with her. Saying his son got attached to him since May last year, Kohli blamed Tiwari for misleading the media. He says people must keep videos ready, especially men as the law is "biased". He further noted that his son loves him and it is this love that will draw him towards his father.
The Kasautii Zindagi Kay famed actor also made the allegations that because of his father's behavior, Reyansh goes through this mental trauma again and again. Read all about it here.
