In her own words, Ira Khan says, "What you read above is the bigger picture. If you start to think about the scope of mental health, you realize it affects all aspects of your life. Whether you want to help yourself or seek help, whether you're already struggling with a diagnosed mental disorder or you're just someone who's dealing in their own way with the vastness of life and our universe... we need to start looking after ourselves."
She further adds, "We need to understand that the brain is part of the body and therefore so is the mind. As we take care of our bodies through basic periodic hygiene, we need to take care of our minds. We need a prophylactic approach to mental wellbeing. There are many aspects to this goal and outlook."
