The Indian women’s T20 captain Harmanpreet Kaur told her teammate Jemimah Rodrigues that she wants to play more test matches during her career. The player is excited to challenge the English women’s team in their upcoming matches to be hosted by England.

The Indian women’s T20 captain said that she wants to play more test matches, the longest format in cricket, in her life. “It is a great feeling. Playing a Test match is a dream. I want to play many Test matches in my life and I hope we will continue (doing) this," she said to her teammate Jemimah Rodrigues in a video posted by BCCI.

The Indian women’s team will be playing a test match after seven years and will be challenging the host, England in a one-off game scheduled in Bristol starting from June 16.

The captain Harmanpreet Kaur is very excited to play against England in the red-ball game. “Playing in England with the red ball is challenging and we all are very excited about this.”

Harmanpreet Kaur will be a key figure in the England tour where the team is scheduled to play a Four-day test match, three ODIs and three T20 Internationals against the host.

According to ANI reports, the four-day test match is scheduled to begin from June 16. The two teams will be competing in the three ODIs to be held at Bristol, Taunton and Worcester starting from June 27. The three T20s will be held in Northampton, Hove and Chelmsford to begin from July 9.

Harmanpreet Kaur has led India in 104 ODIs scoring 2,532 runs and three centuries and 2,186 runs and one century in 114 T20 matches.

The women’s team will also be playing a one-off day/night test match in Australia later this year.
