Priya Singh Meghwal, Rajasthan's first female bodybuilder and the mother of two won a gold medal at an international competition.

Meghwal won gold in the 39th International Women's Bodybuilding Competition held in Thailand.
The gold medallist spoke with Asian News International (ANI) following her victory and said, "I am very happy. I have contributed a little to my nation. I have won a gold medal as well as a PRO card."

- Priya Singh Meghwal is a bodybuilder hailing from Bikaner, Rajasthan. In the conservative village, brides have to wear veils in front of their in-laws throughout their life.
- Meghwal mentioned that she faced challenges because "when I am on the stage performing, people taunt me when they see me in my sports outfit".
- The bodybuilder added that she is also following the tradition of wearing the veil, but she has to wear a sports outfit during her game.
- Meghwal said that her daughter was behind her success. She said, "I would not have been here if I had not been blessed with a daughter. She took care of all my needs... My daughter is behind my success."
- After winning gold, Meghwal aims to participate in the Universiade (International multi-sports events) and the 2024 Olympics which will be held in Paris, France.
- Meghwal is also a three-time Miss Rajasthan Bodybuilding Champion. She won three consecutive years, in 2018, 2019, and 2020.
- The bodybuilder was married off as a child when she was only eight years old, she later stepped into the male-dominated sport and made her mark.
- Meghwal's interest in bodybuilding sparked because she used to work in the gym.
- The bodybuilder has spoken about the lack of support for athletes by the Rajasthan government but will continue to compete even if the government does not provide her support.
- Meghwal said, "I will not stop if the government does not support me".
- She added that she has played in national championships and has been awarded twice at the international level.
