Melissa Coates death: Former WWE wrestler Melissa Coates, who was famously called 'Super Genie', passed away on June 23. She was 50. The reasons behind her sudden demise remain undisclosed.
Coates underwent a leg amputation last year to stop her arteries from being blocked by blood clots. The unfortunate incident has left her admirers shocked. Many of her fans pour in with condolences on social media.

The wrestling company IMPACT extended its condolences to Coates' family and friends. Their tweet said, "We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Melissa Coates - better known to IMPACT fans as Super Genie, the manager of Sabu. We offer our heartfelt condolences to her friends and family."

The members of Cauliflower Alley Club, a non-profit fraternal organisation comprising of professional wrestlers and boxers in North America also mourned Coates' sudden demise.

Wrestler-trainer Lance Storm said that he didn't know Coates so well, but trained with her a few times. He added that the late wrestler was always nice and friendly to him. They would always be happy to see each other again.

Who was Melissa Coates?
Melissa Coates was also a bodybuilder, actor, fitness model and the manager of ECW legend Sabu. She entered the world of professional wrestling in 2002 and joined WWE in 2005 as a part of the Ohio Valley Wrestling developmental region.
After the amputation of her leg, the IMPACT wrestling veteran launched a fundraising campaign to help with her increasing medical bills. Several concerned fans reached out to her with money.
