Indian women's cricket team to play their first pink ball test: Indian women’s cricket team will travel to Australia in mid-September for their maiden pink ball day-night Test match later this year, confirmed BCCI secretary Jay Shah. They are also set to play their first Test match in over seven years next month against England.
During the Australia tour, the squad will start with a three-match ODI series between 19-24 September. The one-off day-night Test will be held between September 30 to October 3 and the tour will conclude with a three-match T20I series from October 7 to 11. This will be their first Test match against Australia since the Adelaide Test in 2006 and is slated to be played in Perth.

The pink ball test between the two countries will be only the second such match to be held in the history of women's cricket.
It will also be the first time since 2014 that the Mithali Raj-led side will be competing in two Test matches in a year. India will become only the third women's team to make their day-night Test debut after Australia and England, who were involved in a pink-ball Ashes game in 2017, ICC Cricket reported. Australian skipper and batswoman Meg Lanning stated after playing Test cricket against England, the Indian side will be ready for the challenge to play any format of the game when they visit Australia. Meanwhile, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has recently revealed the details of the annual salaries for the Indian women’s cricket team on Wednesday.
