Atletico manager Simeone has five children: three boys with his former wife Carolina Baldini and two daughters with Carla Pereyra. His youngest girl was born back in 2019 which he took to Instagram to welcome his newborn with the caption, “Welcome Valentina”.
“It’s Luis Suárez. Luis Suárez. His name says it all. He’s different. A goalscorer, an animal, a killer, a winner. I told him: you know what this is about, you have to transmit that to the rest. He came to rebel,” Simeone said about player Luis Suarez after their win.
Diego couldn’t react to the club’s win and burst out in laughter after they had been declared champions of the league. “My first reaction was to start laughing. It came out naturally. I don't know why, but I laughed, I just laughed.” He said.
Diego said that he was happy that they were able to do it again referring to the win. It is the eighth trophy that the team won under Simeone since he became the Manager back in the late 2011. Simeone helped the club win other titles including two Europa Leagues, two European Super Cups, a Spanish Super Cup and a Copa del Rey.
