Uttar Pradesh elections 2022 are just around the corner. The political parties have finalised their campaigns and the manifestos are coming out. Among the big political parties in race, we have Congress that seems stronger than ever before under the leadership Of Priyanka Gandhi. In the last 30 years, there has not been any UP CM from Congress. Hence, this year Congress is hoping to end 30 years of defeat in Uttar Pradesh and their ray of hope lies in Priyanka Gandhi. The General Secretary of the Indian National Congress is giving it her all with countless campaigns, rallies and schemes for the public. This year, Congress is trying to win the support of UP public through women issues. The party released its 'pink' manifesto called 'Shakti Vidhaan' on January 15.
Congress manifesto included 40% reservation of seats in government jobs for female candidates, free scooty, smart phones, minimum honorarium of Rs. 10,000 per month for ASHA workers and a lot more schemes for the benefit of women in the state. In fact, there are many female candidates from Congress that are standing from various constituencies in the coming elections. Congress released the list of 125 candidates standing in election. This year, 50 Congress female candidates are contesting UP elections.

The Uttar Pradesh 2022 elections will be held in 7 phases from February 10 to March 7. The vote counting will be held on March 10. The competition this year is really high. Along with the major political parties like BJP, Congress, BSP and SP, this year Arvind Kejriwal's AAP and Asaduddin Owaisi AIMIM are also contesting in UP elections.
Giving 40% election seats to Congress female candidates, the party is trying to win the favour of the half population as women safety has always been an issue in the state.
