Failure Is A Catalyst For Growth: What My Journey In Education Taught Me

In the realm of education, every setback is an opportunity for growth, and every obstacle is a chance to showcase our resilience. One of the most profound lessons I have learned on this journey is the importance of embracing failure as a catalyst for growth. Failure, I believe, reveals true character and resilience. It is not the celebrations of our successes but our ability to cope with failure that truly defines us. Therefore, I have made it my mantra to approach setbacks with patience, to reflect on the lessons learned, and to forge ahead with renewed determination.

My Journey In Educational Empowerment 

As the Director of Academics and Administration and the Managing Trustee of the PremAnand Foundation, my roots are firmly planted in Coimbatore, where I was nurtured in an environment steeped in inclusivity and innovation within modern Indian educational practices. Armed with a Bachelor’s in Business Management and a Master’s in Education from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom, I embarked on a mission to transform the educational landscape of India. In 2011, I embraced the role of Director at the Vivekalaya Group of Institutions with fervor and determination. Inspired by the vision set forth by my mother, Mrs Prema Rao, who founded Vivekalaya in 1989, I set out to revolutionize the Indian education system to better suit the needs of modern India.

My greatest hope and vision for women everywhere is to never lose sight of their voices, their curiosity, and their inherent capabilities. Education serves as the ultimate equalizer, empowering women to realize their full potential and shape their destinies. As the world awakens to the capabilities of women, it is imperative that we arm ourselves with education and seize every opportunity to thrive.

Founded on child-centric learning and holistic development principles, our institution has been at the forefront of educational innovation since its inception. From culling corporal punishment to pioneering activity-based learning, we have remained steadfast in our commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals.

However, I am keenly aware that there is still much work to be done. My vision for extends beyond academic excellence; it is about creating new systems for a more holistic approach that caters to body, mind, and spirit. By expanding our reach, developing new programs, and venturing into the publication of our educational materials, we can continue to discover, grow and pave the way for a brighter future.
