How I Create Safe Digital Spaces For Kids With Their Parents' Help

Growing up in the vibrant city of Lucknow surrounded by a rich culture of literature and writing, I developed a passion for storytelling and communication. This passion found its outlet in the early days of the internet, where I delved into the world of blogging and social media. Little did I know that this journey would lead me to become one of India's most prominent bloggers and create Blogchatter (a community platform that connects bloggers and brands for mutual growth) with my coding expertise.

At every step of my journey, I utilized my platform to advocate for positive change on the internet. From sparking global conversations through my TEDx talk to fostering a supportive community of bloggers through Blogchatter, my mission was clear: to leverage the power of the internet for good. However, it was upon becoming a parent that I was reminded of the internet's darker side.

The Birth Of Happinetz

The inspiration behind Happinetz emerged from a nationwide survey conducted among parents, revealing their primary concerns: exposure to inappropriate content and the lack of effective parental control measures. Armed with this insight, my co-founder Vikas Agarwal and I set out to develop a solution to address these pressing issues. We envisioned a platform that would not only monitor millions of websites and apps but also provide robust protection against harmful content while remaining accessible to all parents, regardless of their tech proficiency.

We also enlisted the help of friends with technical expertise who provided invaluable input on the product's design. After a year of rigorous research and development, we introduced Happinetz in July 2023, marking a significant milestone in our mission to empower parents and protect children in the digital age.

Keeping Kids Safe 

As both a parent and a blogger, I understand the importance of striking a balance between the benefits and risks of the internet. We are more than just a technological solution; we commit to providing a safe digital playground where children can explore and learn under the guidance of their parents.

Utilizing AI/ML-powered algorithms, the patent-filed Happinetz Box employs a four-level filtering process to effectively monitor over 110 million websites and apps and block over 22 million unsafe and adult ones. Its multi-layered approach ensures that children are protected from harmful content without hindering their online experience. Moreover, we offer parents personalised screen time management tools and insights into their children's online activities through an intuitive app, empowering them to make informed decisions and guide their children in navigating the internet safely.

I am proud to empower parents to take healthy control of their children's digital lives and shape a brighter future for the next generation. As an innovator and a mother, I am committed to fostering safe and inclusive digital spaces where children can thrive and grow.
