In another bizarre mid-air incident, a woman urinated on the floor of an airplane after she was reportedly denied permission to use the restroom for over two hours. The incident happened on Spirit Airlines in the United States.
A video of a woman squatting on the floor and urinating while arguing with the air hostess who was recording the video has surfaced on the internet.
Woman Urinates On Aeroplane Floor
In the video, the woman is seen shouting that she needed to pee for two hours, but the crew didn’t allow her, and the bathroom doors were closed. The woman tells the flight attendant that she could do whatever she wanted, send her an arrest warrant, and claim that arresting her would be better than this (being prevented from using the bathroom).
Responding to this, the air hostess is heard asking the woman to say hello to the camera and commenting that her pee smelled bad.
The incident comes amid several cases of mid-air outbursts. From Drunk men urinating, defecating on fellow passengers to harassing women and picking fights with the cabin crew, news of on-flight controversial affairs has been on the rise in the past couple of years.
However, this incident stands out in terms of being detrimental to the dignity of women. How can a female air hostess be so inconsiderate as to film another woman while she is urinating? It is established that she urinated on the floor of the aeroplane, which isn’t right. However, shouldn’t the circumstances under which the woman relieved herself on the floor be considered in this case?
Why was the woman prevented from using the bathroom for two hours in the first place? Why was the bathroom door locked? Why didn’t the cabin crew take any measures to help the woman if she had been asking to use the bathroom for two whole hours? The flight attendant’s comments seem to be very insensitive, and she sounded more like a bully.
While I refrain from making any speculations, this incident still seems bothersome because it’s outrageous to film a woman urinating, especially under the alleged circumstances.
What about the dignity of the woman? The viral video has her face blurred, but still, it’s really shocking that a woman films another woman in such an aggrieved state. Just to reiterate, I’m not trying to advocate such indecent behaviour on a flight or anywhere in public. However, I strongly feel that the circumstances should have been considered before filming a woman in a state that tarnishes her dignity.
There have been several cases of inappropriate behaviour on flights in the recent past, and it’s not always that we get to see viral videos of the incident. If not then, why now? Why in a case where a woman allegedly wasn’t allowed to use the restroom for a whole two hours? While it is acceptable to reveal a wrongdoer irrespective of their gender, the case could have been probed before tarnishing a woman’s dignity.
