Heights Of Perversion: Man Shames SRK For Swimming With Daughter

Recently, a social media user posted a video of Shah Rukh Khan having a beach day with his children. The video shows SRK swimming on the beach accompanied by his three children, Suhana Khan, Aryan Khan, and AbRam Khan.

While this might seem like a normal piece of entertainment news for many of us, it apparently doesn’t seem to be for a few individuals with a regressive mindset. A social media user pointed out that Suhana was wearing a bikini and wrote, "Shah Rukh Khan enjoying a bath with his daughter; this doesn’t happen in our Indian culture."

Man Shames SRK For Swimming With Daughter

This problematic statement immediately sparked a controversy on the microblogging site. Netizens, especially SRK’s fans, slammed the user for his insensible and corrupt-minded comment.

Why is it wrong for a daughter to dress the way she likes before her own father? Will a father look at his own daughter with the wrong intentions if she’s wearing a bikini? Not unless he’s mentally sick or a pervert. So, what’s obscene about a father and a daughter swimming in the ocean?

Aryan Khan is swimming topless, but why isn’t anyone bothered about that? Is it because he’s a man, and men are entitled to be shirtless? However, Suhana Khan wearing a bikini while swimming in the ocean with her father and siblings is obscene because she’s a woman. How can some people be so sick-minded as to bring vulgarity to a father taking a swim in the ocean with his daughter?

If Suhana Khan has chosen to wear a bikini in the presence of her father, it shows how comfortable and safe she feels around him. Isn’t that how a father should be—a daughter’s safe space and comfort zone?

It’s disgusting that some people have perverted thoughts after seeing a daughter choose to swim in a bikini in the presence of her father. What’s the big deal about that? Women all over the country take a swim at the beach or step under waterfalls and get themselves completely drenched in front of dozens of random people. That is acceptable in Indian culture, but a daughter swimming in a bikini in front of her father isn’t. How ironic! Besides, what dress do people expect a woman to wear while swimming at the beach? Kurta suit with a dupatta?

This mentality presence is bothersome not just to society but also to women in their own families. How will a man whose mind develops corrupt thoughts about a father and daughter look at the women in his family? Is any woman, including his mother, sister, and daughter, safe around someone as perverted as him?

Moreover, if some people are so bothered about morals and values, why isn’t the person who took unsolicited videos and pictures of SRK taking a swim with his children being questioned? Is it in Indian culture to take photos and videos of someone without their consent? Just because someone is a celebrity doesn’t mean they are public property that people can take pictures of.

People who are concerned about protecting the sanskaar of the country should begin questioning the men who pee on roads, the men who fold their lungis up their thighs without even bothering to wear underwear, and the men who shamelessly flash their private parts at random women to harass them. If you really have guts, start questioning the real problems in society. Otherwise, keep your sick opinions to yourself!
