Zomato Case Update: Hitesha Chandranee leaves Bangalore after her address was leaked. Before this an FIR was filed by Kamaraj against Hitesha accusing her of abusing and slapping him. Police suspect the reason for her flight might be safety reasons.
Social Media influencer Hitesha Chandranee left Bangalore a day after a second FIR was filed in the ongoing Zomato controversy. In this FIR, Kamaraj, the Zomato Delivery Executive, accused Hitesha of assaulting him with a slipper over an argument about late delivery.
“When we went to her house nobody opened the door,” said Anil Kumar, Police Inspector, Electronic City Police Station.
Hitesha's address was reportedly leaked online amid the controversy, harming her privacy and safety.
Another police official said regarding the flight of Hitesha, “She feels afraid staying here as people might come to her home to speak with her about the FIR.” “We heard from her that she will contact the police today and will give a statement. She might not have left the city to abscond from the police and might contact us” he added.
In the first FIR, Hitesha accused Kamaraj of assaulting her and hurting her on her nose. Hitesha also posted a video where she shared her experience of being abused by Kamaraj when asked for a refund for her late delivered food. This video led to immense controversy among netizens. However, tables turned around when Kamaraj's side of the story came to the fore.
Kamaraj countered Hitesha's accusations by alleging that Hitesha was the one who behaved disrespectfully and called him a slave and abused him. Hitesha allegedly assaulted him with a slipper. During the commotion, Kamaraj tried to defend himself which led to Hitesha hurting herself because of the ring on her fingers.
