Zayn Malik's Sister Waliyha's Wedding Reception Saw Police Intervention

Zayn Malik’s sister Waliyha Malik’s wedding breached COVID-19 protocols and it led to police intervention, revealed a report.

Waliyha got recently got married to Junaid Khan in another sibling Saffa’s backyard in Bradford. The area comes in Tier 3 zone where wedding ceremonies can take place with only 15 people in attendance. It is not allowed to hold wedding receptions. Waliyha’s reception had a reported turn out of about 40 people.

When the neighbours in the area complained to the police, the authorities showed up and broke the reception. They also fined the family members with a fine for breaching COVID-19 protocols. A police spokesperson told MailOnline, “A group of people were fined inside the address and fixed penalty notices were issued as a breach of coronavirus restrictions had been committed.”

Zayn Malik was not seen at the event but Gigi Hadid wished the bride well and said, “wish I could be there. So happy for you. Big love x”

It is also reported that Waliyha’s husband Junaid Khan is an ex-convict and that Zayn’s father Yaser Malik doesn’t approve of the marriage.

Waliyha shared her pictures from her wedding night and of other ceremonies that took place after that. She said, “Best days with the best people❤I honestly don’t think I could of had a more beautiful day الحمد لله ✨ I can’t believe we are officially married.”

She revealed her look at the wedding in her Instagram stories where she wore a traditional golden sharara with gold jewellery.
