A YouTuber from Maharashtra's Aurangabad, who ran away from home after her father scolded her, was found in a train coach at Madhya Pradesh's Itarsi station on Saturday, police said. Kavya Yadav, 16, whose YouTube channel called ‘Bindass Kavya’, has over 44 lakh subscribers and is managed by her mother.
Yadav's parents had live-streamed their anxiety after she went missing. They also live-streamed their journey from Maharashtra to Madhya Pradesh to get her back after they were informed that their daughter has been found, reported NDTV.
YouTuber Runs Away, Parents Document Reunion Journey
Kavya was upset after her father scolded her and she took off without informing the family. She was then found in a train coach at Madhya Pradesh's Itarsi station on Saturday, police said.
The missing complaint was lodged at the Aurangabad police station who then sent Kavya’s photo to Government Railway Police (GRP) in Itarsi, Madhya Pradesh. PTI reported that following the missing complaint, the GRP started checking trains that arrived at Itarsi, located 500 km from the Maharashtra district.
In a YouTube live a day after she went missing on Friday, the girl's parents appealed viewers to help find her. "We have been looking for her since last night ... We have filed an FIR. If anyone sees her, please let us know," her father said, crying, as his wife sat next to him in a car. The live video posted on Bindass Kavya channel clocked 38 lakh views.
The railway police found Kavya on Saturday in a sleeper coach on the Kushinagar Express from Bhusawal. The Aurangabad police station as well as Kavya’s parents were informed of her whereabouts, who then documented their journey to pick her up on YouTube.
The reunion video was shared on Twitter by Anurag Dwary. Along with the video, the caption read, "A popular YouTuber from Aurangabad ran away from home after being shouted at by her father and was found in a train coach at Itarsi railway station. Once found, her parents live streamed their reaction when on their way to pick her up."
According to the father during the ">live stream, Kavya was on her way to their village in Lucknow.
