22YO Woman Falls To Death From High Rise Window While Using Treadmill

In recent news, a 22-year-old woman in Indonesia, plummeted to death as she was using a treadmill at a high-rise gym in Indonesia. The case is under investigation. The woman was seen running on a treadmill in a high-rise gym building on the third floor. Since the gym was at such a height, the windows had a caution warning with a sticker which said that people are not to open the gym windows.

As fate would have it, the sticker on that window the girl opened had either been worn off or torn away due to wear and tear. Even though the treadmill blocked the accessibility of the window it was only situated 60cm from the window. The girl somehow managed to open the window, overlooking the gym guidelines. The event occurred in a gym in Pontianak, West Kalimantan, Indonesia. 

The police are currently investigating the case and questioning the gym authorities for their negligence and neglect towards such a serious matter. The entire incident was captured in CCTV footage from the gym which showed the woman falling from the gym window. She suffered massive head injuries and autopsy reports revealed bruises and lacerations on her head. The trainers were supposed to be on the gym floor yet the trainer designated to be on that floor was on a break during the tragic incident. The gym has been closed for days since the incident and its operating permit is under review.

It is suspected that the woman had come to the gym along with her boyfriend who was using the gym facilities on the second floor but was unaware of the incident that had happened with his girlfriend. The gym authorities might be held accountable and certain charges can be levied upon them for unaccountability and sheer negligence.
