As expected, chose to batting first, Indian team had sent their best opener on the field today -- Mandhana, having a great companionship with Punam Raut and Mithali Raj, who scored half-centuries each to lead India to a total of 281.
The partnership of 144 between Smriti Mandhana and Punam Raut kickstarted the innings in a big way. Mandhana’s 90 kept the run rate in momentum. Skipper Mithali Raj was able to surge to 71.

Smirti hit a 90 while Raut scored 86. Captain got her seventh consecutive half-century in ODI -- a record established by any player.
England stumbled to 67-3 in reply and though Fran Wilson made 81, she was run out brilliantly by Harmanpreet Kaur and the hosts were bowled out for 246.
