Two MP Women Almost Buried Alive Over Land Dispute

ADG Law and Order Shri Jaideep Prasad told a media outlet, “On Saturday, in a family land dispute in Hinota Kothar village of Rewa district, gravel was dumped on two women, Asha Pandey and Mamta Pandey. They belong to the Pandey clan and there was no Dalit woman or man involved in it."

As per the reports by NDTV, a road construction project led to protests from women in the village claiming that the land was leased and opposed the construction. But their demands were ignored leading to the shocking incident.

A truck dumped gravel stones on two women allegedly on the orders of local strongmen.

One of the women had lost consciousness and both were rushed to Community Health Center in Gangev.

According to the complaints registered by the two survivors, the incident happened when they were opposed to letting gravel be laid on the leased land.
