Woman Vaccinated Four Times Tests Positive: A 30-year-old woman, who had been vaccinated four times in different countries has tested positive for coronavirus in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. The woman is asymptomatic and has been admitted to a hospital there. She was flying from Indore to Dubai when the airport administration found out she was COVID-19 positive.
The woman was prevented from boarding the Dubai-bound flight by the authorities at the Indore Airport. She had arrived at the city in Madhya Pradesh 12 days ago and was returning back. The woman had taken four COVID-19 vaccine doses between the months of January and August this year.
She was stopped during the standard practice at airports now of conducting RT-PCR tests to ensure that the passengers are COVID-19 negative. This directive has become stricter after the new variant of coronavirus was found in November by scientists in South Africa. The virus was termed a Variant of Concern by the World Health Organisation and has many countries on their toes over the precautions.

The Indore Chief Medical and Health Officer (CHMO) Dr Bhure Singh Setia said, "A woman of around 30 years of age, who has been already vaccinated four times in different countries, tested COVID-19 positive at the airport and was admitted to a hospital. She was asymptomatic and tested negative a day before."
After the second wave's destruction in India which caused turmoil and loss of life, hospitals ran out of oxygen and grim pictures of graveyards and cremation grounds, India has been warned by different studies like IIT-Kanpur research of a third wave. They have said that it may begin from December 15, 2021, and be at peak by February 3, 2022. Although, the prediction also includes that it may not be so hard-hitting like the Delta variant of the second wave.
However, the states and centres have taken up precautionary measures considering the rise of Omicron cases in India and a spike of COVID-19 cases. Many states like Maharashtra have called for a ban on new year parties or social gatherings and others have opted for a night curfew, ideally between 10 or 11 in the night to five in the morning.
The airports have also become stricter in terms of RT-PCR and double masking. Passengers coming from outside, are registered and tracked to ensure the curbing of Omicron spread and limiting the community transmission. Currently, India's Omicron case tally stands at 961.
