A 30-year-old woman, including a group of individuals, is accused of robbing her boyfriend of a significant amount of money and subjecting him to a severe assault. They allegedly left him stranded, completely naked, on the Shahapur highway. The officials have taken action by filing a case against all five individuals involved in the incident.
Police have identified Bhavika Bhoir and Nadim Khan as two of the five accused in the case. The victim, Balaji Shivbhagat, is a resident of Shahapur and runs a construction business. According to the police, Shivbhagat has been in a relationship with Bhoir, who is also a resident of Shahapur, for several years.
According to a police officer, on June 28, Bhavika Bhoir contacted Shivbhagat and arranged to meet him at a spot on the Atgaon Highway in Shahapur around 4.30 pm. During their conversation, four individuals associated with Bhoir unexpectedly emerged and subjected Shivbhagat to physical assault throughout the night.
The following morning, they left him on the Shahapur highway without clothing.

After being hospitalised for two days and still coping with the emotional aftermath, Shivbhagat expressed his feelings about the incident. He mentioned that he had done everything for Bhoir, fulfilling her wishes by constructing a small house, constantly buying her gifts, and being attentive to her desires.
However, he felt betrayed as she chose another man over him and subjected him to a brutal assault. The meeting was arranged by Bhoir, who had requested that he bring various gifts, including a sari, gold earrings, gold anklets and bangles, new monsoon shoes, and an umbrella.
Shivbhagat recounted the harrowing incident, describing how he arrived at the designated location with the gifts. Upon reaching the spot on the Atgaon highway, Bhoir entered his Creta car and took possession of the presents. Suddenly, four men, three of whom were unfamiliar to him, entered the vehicle and forcefully pushed him aside. They proceeded to attack his head with a chopper while one of them took control of the car and began driving.
The accused then brought Shivbhagat to an unidentified closed restaurant, where they subjected him to repeated assaults throughout the night, as stated by Rajkumar Upase, the senior inspector at Shahapur police station. Shivbhagat's statement revealed that the assailants filmed him after stripping off his clothes. They also stole his two gold chains and seven finger rings and threw chilli powder in his eyes before fleeing the scene at around 5 am.
Abandoned and in need of assistance, Shivbhagat made his way to the police station, where he sought help and contacted his friends. They promptly admitted him to the hospital for medical attention.
The authorities have registered a case against the five accused under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including 365 (kidnapping or abduction with intent to wrongfully confine a person), 506 (criminal intimidation), as well as relevant sections of the Prevention of Atrocities Act.
