Sonali had purchased a sixty-day-old German Shepherd for 20,000 INR as a surprise gift for her spouse, Gaurav. She then later found out that her spouse is allergic to dogs.

After learning of his condition Sonali decided to give one of them up for adoption and it was not the dog.

An acquaintance of Sonali's took to Twitter to share both Sonali's plight and advertisement for adoption. “Needs a home urgently. If anyone’s interested, this is Leo - a two-month-old German shepherd. My friend Sonali bought him for Rs. 20,000. She wanted to give a surprise gift to her husband. But she came to know that her husband Gaurav is allergic to dogs.”

The user in their next thread confirmed that Sonali was looking for a home for her husband, refusing to give up on her dog. “If anyone is interested, Gaurav is 29 years old, drives a bike, can cook, has sharp features, and is reasonably handsome.”

An adorable picture of the puppy Leo was attached to the Twitter thread by Sonali's acquaintance.

"Suna tha Shaadi ke baad haalat kutte ke jaisa ho jatha hai. Magar yahan toh uska next version chal raha hai...!!" further joked a fourth user.

Not all hope was lost for Gaurav as one comment read, "Can you please ask Sonali if Gaurav can drive a car?? My driver has taken leaves for Holi holidays. Then I might consider."
