A woman tried to calm the lady, Sangeeta, so she would get up, but she screamed, "Mujhe koi nahi chahiye (I don't want anyone)," as she lay down on the ground with her dog in her arms.

In the evening, when a police officer attempted to control traffic, a crowd had gathered when the woman halted a portion of the road. "You go," she said to the woman. I'd prefer not to see anyone. The incident caused a commotion, attracting a crowd of onlookers as Sangeeta's protest blocked a portion of the road during the evening rush hour.

The police questioned Sangeeta regarding her move. Sangeeta claimed that after checking into a hotel in Mahipalpur, the proprietors were no longer letting her stay, so she called the police to make hotel arrangements for her. Upon questioning the Mahipalpur hotel personnel, the police discovered that the woman had been lodging there for several days without having paid the hotel bill.
