Frontier Airlines shared a series of pictures of the crew and the girl child who was born on the flight with the caption, "'Exemplary' and 'calm' were the words Captain Chris Nye used for Flight Attendant Diana Giraldo’s heroic task of delivering a baby recently mid-flight.
The baby couldn’t wait, so the early and unexpected labor took place on a flight from Denver International Airport to Orlando International Airport (MCO). Diana helped the mother to the back lavatory and assisted the mother in giving birth."
The crew thanked flight attendant Diana who was meticulate enough to carry out the delivery smoothly and safely. She was assisted by the crew on the flight who smoothly planned the exchange of flight duties and controls.
The flight was diverted and halted at the Pensacola Airport for paramedic assistance for the health and safety of mother and daughter. Diana also reportedly helped in the smooth execution of their return to Orlando.
The mother delivered a girl child whose middle name was chosen as 'Sky' by the mother for obvious reasons. Another interesting reason for naming her so was that the child was delivered on Frontier Airlines special plane tail dedicated to the mother-daughter wolves Luna and Lilly.
