A man from Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, alleged that a stranger molested and attempted to kidnap his wife when the couple went out to feed stray dogs in the locality.
The woman's husband, Saurav Gupta claimed in the police complaint that a man in an SUV stopped next to the woman and attempted to abduct her. The woman, Sonia, proceeded to raise an alarm and her husband towards the SUV and the man made his getaway. While speeding away, the man ran over a stray dog.

The woman's husband said the incident took place on Wednesday, January 25, at 11 pm. The couple stepped out to deed the stray dogs as one had recently given birth to puppies.
Gupta added that he believed that the man was inebriated due to the manner in which he drove.
The residents of Raj Nagar Extensions were feeding the stray dogs near VVIP society.
Gupta alleged, "Suddenly, a grey Brezza stopped near my wife. The man at the wheel passed an objectionable comment and asked my wife to get in. When my wife scolded him, the man tried to kidnap her."
The Gupta claimed that the man attempted to pull his wife into the vehicle and that the stray dogs began barking. He further alleged that the man ran over a stray dog while he trying to sleep away. The man immediately contacted the police and rushed the stray dog to a veterinarian for treatment.
The dog is currently in critical condition.
Based on the husband's complaint, an FIR was registered under the Indian Penal Code sections 354a (sexual harassment), 504 (intentional insult) and under The Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960.
Gupta added that he managed to note down the registration number of the car.
Assistant Commissioner of Police, Nandgram, Alok Dubey, said, "We have received a complaint... Investigation is on and we will soon arrest the accused".
