Woman Beheaded in Matheran, Partner Arrested By Police: All You Need To Know

A woman from Goregaon was found dead. She was allegedly beheaded by her husband r in the lodge at Matheran near Mumbai. The police found the woman's purse at a distance of few meters from the lodge and identified the woman who was registered by her partner on a fake name in the lodge.

The woman has been allegedly killed by her partner due to his suspicion about her having an extramarital affair. However as per the reports, the accused has now been arrested by the police.

1. A beheaded body of woman in her 30s was found at a lodge in hill station of Matheran in Mumbai. The woman was later identified as Poonam Pal who worked as a nurse in private clinic of Goregaon.

2. The body of woman was found by the of lodge owner named Ketan Ramane on December 12, 2021. He had gone to the room to provide them with morning service..

3. A handbag was found some 50m away from the lodge which confirmed the identity of the beheaded woman as Poonam Pal from Goregaon.

4. The Raigad police started investigating the crime scenes and five teams in total reportedly are involved in the entire case which includes the Mumbai Police.

5. Goregaon police also informed of the missing person case that was registered by the family of the missing woman.

6. The lodge owner did not obtain any identity proof from the couple like Aadhaar card, as a result of which it became difficult for police to search the couple's identity until they found the handbag of woman.

7. The CCTV installed captured the couple entering the lodge. However, the exit of accused has not been captured, due to which the police had problems identifying the murderer. The accused ran away with all the clothes and belongings of the woman.

8. As per the Chief Officer of Matheran Municipal, Surekha Bhanage, meetings of lodge owners have been called by the police and permission detail of lodge owner Ketan Ramane is been tracked.

9. The accused man in this case has been arrested by the police. As per the man, he has thrown the head of the lady in the valley. The team of police officers has been trying to search for the missing head.

10. Similar incidents of beheading also took place in Maharashtra's Aurangabad few days back where the brother beheaded her sister for marrying against his wishes.
