Wipro Gets Woman CFO, Aparna Iyer; Know About Her Here

On September 21, the Indian IT services company Wipro announced that Aparna C Iyer will assume the role of chief financial officer (CFO), succeeding Jatin Pravinchandra Dalal, a Wipro veteran with more than 21 years of experience.

Who Is Aparna Iyer?

Iyer, who is slated to assume her new responsibilities on September 22, is a certified Chartered Accountant (CA) and achieved the distinction of being a gold medalist in the CA 2002 batch.

Prior to her admission to the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) completed her bachelor's degree in commerce at Narsee Monjee, Mumbai in 2001.

Iyer's Work With Wipro

Iyer commenced her journey at Wipro in 2003, initially as a senior internal auditor, and steadily advanced in her career, assuming key leadership roles within the organisation over a span of more than two decades. Throughout her tenure, the incoming CFO has held various financial positions, encompassing Internal Audit, Business Finance, Finance Planning and Analysis, Corporate Treasury, and Investor Relations at Wipro. The company attests to her profound expertise in financial risk management, capital allocation, fundraising, driving business strategy, and fostering growth.

Iyer most recently served as the Senior Vice President and CFO for Wipro's FullStride Cloud Global Business Line. In her new capacity, she will report directly to CEO Thierry Delaporte and will become a member of the Wipro Executive Board.

Iyer Expresses Elation
