Wife Helped Man Abuse Over 50 Children in Uttar Pradesh?

The Central Bureau of Investigation arrested the wife of the man who was accused of sexually abusing over 50 children for the past 10 years. Reportedly, the wife had direct knowledge of the crime and was also influencing witnesses. The CBI has sent her into judicial custody till January 4. Her husband, Ram Bhawan, a former employee of Uttar Pradesh government, is accused of sexually abusing more than 50 children aged between five and 16 years. He is also accused of selling or sharing objectionable pictures and videos of children to paedophiles on the dark web.

He has been pressed with charges under the Information Technology Act, Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and Indian Penal Code Section 377 for alleged sexual exploitation of children between 5 and 16 for a decade. The CBI got hold of eight cellphones and about eight lakhs of cash. About 610 photographs and 66 videos of Children were also collected by CBI. He was sent to judicial custody by a special court in UP’s Banda district.

According to recent data released by National Crime Records Bureau, over 100 children are sexually abused in India every single day.
