Why Amal Clooney is Secretly Kamaal Clooney

Anuja Chauhan, in her recent interview with SheThePeople, joked, “Amal is a kamaal thing”- because she’s putting added pressure on today’s women by just being her flawless self- giving them a whole lot more to live up to. And, she sure as hell has set the bar high- high as the gloves she wore to the Golden Globes this year- bringing a century old style back with a sleight of a hand. Anuja, as well as the entire extensive universe- doesn’t just think she’s kamaal because she looks like a million dollar lawsuit. As her 37^th birthday concludes, read on to know why we think Amal Clooney is a walking talking manual on how to win at everything, without even trying:

She has her priorities clearly cut out for her: Saving Humanity

The resume of this human rights barrister is a globe trotter- she was by her client Julian Assange’s side in defending his freedom of speech during the WikiLeaks controversy. Clooney was appointed to the United Nations Human Rights commission, as adviser to Special Envoy Kofi Annan on Syria to look into the use of drones in counter-terrorism operations. In May 2014, she pledged herself to the cause of protecting children in conflict zones from rape and sexual violence through international action, with British Foreign Secretary William Hague and a group of leading female campaigners. She was even selected on merit, for the UN's three-member commission to look into possible violations of the rules of war in the Gaza Strip during the Israel–Gaza conflict. Here’s a woman who has reached the top, and will not rest until she pulls her peers up to the same level.

She probably faced a threat to get arrested before breakfast:

Amal is a human rights lawyer, who studied at Oxford and NYU, trained under a Supreme Court judge and now represents people that make international headlines- Julian Assange, the president of Bahrain. Her specialty is considered rather radical in certain parts of the world, where a day spent as per routine automatically amounts to probably five human rights violations. Yet, unlike the stereotypical docile and timid woman, Amal is relentless. She recently risked arrest for compiling a no-holds-barred report of the flaws in the Egyptian Judiciary. She strongly condemns the provision that allows Egypt officials to handpick judges for certain politicized cases, and is also fighting for her journalist client Mohmad Famhmy, who faces an adverse death sentence for activism.

She’s stands for more than the year’s fall collection:

And she has proven that on numerous occasions. When the paparazzi spend their 9 to 5 planning to intercept her after a court case, for interviews around who she’s wearing: she amusedly announces Ede and Ravenscroft, and she just couldn’t emphasize more on how they’re focusing on the most insignificant of her virtues. Not to say that she does not turn up at the grocery store aisle making it look like the runway, but she does so effortlessly, without dedicating any mindspace on how En vogue her look is. Cue: her vintage elbow high gloves- hardly fashion, yet a statement.

She’s the inspiration behind the concept “trophy husband”:

…And the husband in question here, is no ordinary husband. He’s THE most “Notorious (and delectable) Bachelor” of our time- Hollywood legend- George Clooney. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler pretty much summed up the world’s collective quandary with this joke at this year’s Golden Globes: “Amal is a human rights lawyer who worked on the Enron case, was an adviser to Kofi Annan regarding Syria, and was selected to a three-person U.N. commission investigating rules of war violations in the Gaza Strip. So tonight, her husband is getting a lifetime achievement award.”
