Who Was Vidyasagar? The demise of Actor Meena's husband has come as a shock to the South film industry. Vidyasagar who was suffering from a severe lung infection breathed his last on Monday night in Chennai.

The news of Vidyasagar's demise was confirmed by veteran actor Sarath Kumar. Sarath Kumar who has worked with Meena in several films took to Twitter and shared- “It is shocking to hear the news of the untimely demise of Actor Meena's husband Vidyasagar, our family's heartfelt condolences to Meena and the near and dear of her family, may his soul rest in peace (sic).”

Reports reveal that Vidyasagar was suffering from a severe lung infection and was receiving treatment for the months. He was recently admitted to a private hospital in Chennai where he breathed his last on Monday night.

Who Was Vidyasagar? Sudden Demise Of Actor Meena's Husband

Meena is well known in the South Indian industry. Starting her career as a child artiste, Meena has featured in the Drishyam franchise. Meena married Vidyasagar back in 2009. Vidyasagar is a Bangalore-based businessman and a software engineer who hails from Andhra Pradesh. The couple has a daughter together called Nainika. . Their daughter Nainika is also a child artiste and has acted as Thalapathy Vijay's daughter in the movie Theri.

Reports reveal that his lung condition worsened after Vidyasagar contracted COVID-19 and succumbed to his ailments. Reports have also revealed that the doctors suggested a lung transplant a few weeks ago, but the waiting list was too long and the doctors faced difficulty in getting a donor. Vidyasagar was just 48 years old at the time of his demise. After the news of his demise surfaced on the internet, south actors and friends of Meena have offered their condolences and paid tribute to the actor's late husband.

Actor Venkatesh, who has worked recently with Meena in Drishyam, took to Twitter wrote,“Extremely sad and shocked by the demise of Vidyasagar gaaru! My heartfelt condolences to Meena gaaru and the entire family! Wishing them with all the strength to sail through this".

Actor Khushbhu Sundar also paid her condolences- “Waking up to terrible news. Heartbroken to learn actor Meena's husband, Sagar, is no more with us. He was battling a lung ailment for long. My heart goes out to Meena n her young daughter. Life is cruel. At loss of words to express grief. Deepest condolences to the family". The last rites will reportedly be held today on 29 June 2022.
