Celebrity designer Prathyusha Garimella's sudden demise on Saturday, June 11 was a shocker for everyone. Garimella was found dead in her Banjara Hills studio in Hyderabad. The designer who lived in Jubilee Hills had informed her father that she would stay over at her studio after visiting a friend.
According to the reports, her father grew suspicious when she did not answer calls. When he learnt she'd not opened the door to her studio despite the watchman repeatedly ringing the doorbell, her father rushed to the studio. After the door was broken down, Garimella was found unconscious on a chair.
The police suspect that she died by suicide; her father had also recovered a suicide note in which she mentioned being displeased with her life and not wanting "to be a burden" to her parents.
According to the reports, her body was taken to Osmania hospital for an autopsy, and the police have filed a case under provisions for unnatural death. The case, prima facie, seems like she died by suicide because she was battling depression, the police are yet to ascertain the same though.
The fashion designer's death came as a shocker with celebrities like actor Ram Charan's wife Upasana and celebrity stylist Shravya Varma taking to social media and offering condolences on her death. Varma said that it was a "huge loss of talent, a daughter, a sister and a friend".

Who Was Prathyusha Garimella?
Prathyusha was a Hyderbad-based celebrity fashion designer who also owned a label in her own name called Prathyusha Garimella. The label has flagship stores at Banjara Hills and in the Juhu area of Mumbai.
Prathyusha, who is an alumna of the University of Warwick, writes on her website that she is a self-taught designer. She was born to a wealthy family and was working at her father's manufacturing firm and later became a designer.
Garimella opened her own label in 2013 which focuses largely on ethnic wear like Anarkalis and Lehengas which have "contemporary silhouettes and intricate detailing". Her clothes, she mentions, have a flowy touch to symbolise timeless grace.
The designer's clientele included the finest talent from Telugu and Hindi cinema industries which includes names like Madhuri Dixit, Juhi Chawla, Keerthy Suresh, Shriya Saran, Bhumi Pednekar and others.
