Malayalam vlogger Sreekanth Vettiyar has been booked for rape in Kerala after a complaint was filed by a woman at Ernakulam Central Police Station. The woman had posted the incident on social media first before reaching out to the Police. Vettiyar has been accused of rape by other women as well on social media.

The woman had also posted about the incident on social media on a page ‘Women Against Sexual Harassment’. The vlogger has been accused of rape by other women as well on the same page.
The woman reportedly accused Vettiyar of abusing and manipulating her economically, mentally and emotionally in her social media post. She said that she knew him for years through social media. She alleged that he raped her after inviting her to his flat on his birthday.
Who is Sreekanth Vettiyar?
Sreekanth Vettiyar is famous for his social media page ‘Vettiyar Trolls’ and is a content creator, vlogger and social media personality. He claims to be ‘politically correct’ and is known to have woke humour. Vettiyar also managed a Facebook Page named ‘ICU’. The YouTuber has a following of 299K on his YouTube channel.
Sreekanth keeps posting about his mother and older sister on his social media handle. However, there’s hardly any mention of his father. His mother, Sohana, is a homemaker as per his social media account.
Vettiyar made his acting debut with Malayalam-language comedy film Super Sharanya alongside actors including Mamitha Baiju, Anaswara Rajan and Sneha Rajan among others which released on January 7, 2022. The movie is directed by Girish A.D.
Vettiyar has been accused of rape after a woman filed an FIR against him. He has been booked by the Police under Section 376 (2)(n) (commits rape repeatedly on the same woman) of the IPC.
