Who Is Shilpi Raj? Bhojpuri Singer's Private Video Gets Leaked On Social Media

Bhojpuri Folk singer Shilpi Raj amassed a following on social media because of her vocal skills. Shilpi who debuted in 2017 has since then gone on to work with celebrated artists and has a great following on social media. The singer however is caught in a distressing situation. According to the reports, a private video of the singer with a man identified as Vijay Chauhan was allegedly leaked on the internet and is being shared on multiple platforms.

Similar incidents have happened in the past with other famous Bhojpuri personalities like Shweta, Trisha Kar Madhu and Priyanka Pandit. Reportedly, Trisha had in her statement said that although the video was uploaded on social media with the intent of wronging her.

Folk singer Shilpi has been trending on social media because of the alleged video. The singer is yet to issue a statement addressing the unfortunate incident.

Who Is Shilpi Raj?

• The 20-year-old Bhojpuri singer was born in Deoria, Uttar Pradesh, into a middle-class family. The folk singer attained her primary education at a government school in her hometown and completed her secondary education in Chhapra, Siwan. She purportedly has three sisters and a brother.
• Reportedly, Shilpi had been interested in singing since she was a kid and often participated in singing programmes held in her school. She later was trained in the basics of music from Ramanand Swami in Siwan, Bihar.

• The reports also suggest that the singer was encouraged by her villagers to pursue a career in singing. She moved to Patna after graduating from grade 10 and pursued education from there and also practised singing.
• In 2017, she started her singing career with the Bhojpuri song Bhukur Bhukur Light Barab Karejau alongside Sameer Sawan. She has also since then collaborated with well known Bhojpuri actors like Pawan Singh and Vijay Lal Yadav.
• The singer’s song Dekhle Bani Sapna Saiya gained popularity amongst the listeners. Other hit songs from the singer include Laika Pahilka Ha, Neeli Neeli Akhiyan, Du Hajara Leke Aaja Stage Pa, and Apni To Jaise Taise.
• The singer recently released a song with another famous actor-singer. Her collaboration with actor-singer Gunjan Singh is raking views on YouTube too.
