- Rosy Gongo is a lawyer and an member of the Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for women.
- She is dedicated to preserving and promoting Arunachal Pradesh's indigenous culture, language and heritage.
- In an interview, Rosy said she had always been concerned about the infringement of women's rights when she was a teenager. Soon after becoming a mother, she recognised that while there were different rules, regulations and policies protecting women, the same was not true for children.
- According to Rosy, concerns about women’s rights have long been overlooked due to a lack of understanding and Arunachal Pradesh's geographical position.
- She attributes the majority of her success to her father, who provided her with the freedom to pursue her passion. Rosy thinks that her mother is her biggest critic and her husband Chakter Gongo is her biggest supporter.
- Rosy attained her Bachelor of Legislative Law degree from Bangalore but went back to Arunachal Pradesh to look for work.
- Rosy takes pride in her identity; she belongs to a native tribe called Nyishi and is an ardent follower of the Donyi Polo faith. Her heritage urged her to work towards the preservation of tradition, culture, and dialects of the 26 existing tribes of Arunachal Pradesh.
- Rosy and her husband fund and support the Nyubu Nyvgam Yerko, a school established by an indigenous tribe in Arunachal Pradesh. The school provides formal education as well as indigenous cultural knowledge. Students receive primary education in English and Hindi till they reach the tenth grade.

- 2021 March marked two years to Rosy’s deployment in the NCPCR. Rosy has worked towards the Elimination of Child Labour or Children in Distress as part of the organization.
