Who is Rinku Singh Nikumbh? The film and television actor has died following a battle with COVID-19, reports said Friday. Known most prominently for her role opposite Ayushmann Khurrana in 2019 movie Dream Girl, Nikumbh was reportedly in Intensive Care suffering from health complications the past few days.

Nikumbh's cousin revealed her COVID-19 reports came positive May 25, following which she first isolated at home, was then shifted to hospital and then ICU.

"She was considering going to Goa for an ad shoot recently, but we didn’t let her go as we wanted to protect her from COVID-19," the cousin was quoted saying. She added that Nikumbh had other health issues like asthma as well.

Social media users are mourning her death as tributes pour in for the late actor.

Nikumbh had many acting credits to her name. On television, she appeared in comedy serials Chidiyaghar and Meri Haanikarak Biwi. As per reports, she was also slated to be part of Sony Entertainment's drama show Dhadkan, which also stars Aashay Mishra and Vidyut Xavier.

In 2019, Nikumbh got noticed on a bigger platform with Raaj Shaandilyaa's film Dream Girl, alongside Khurrana, Nushrratt Bharuccha and Annu Kapoor. Her role earned unanimous praise from the audience and critics.
