Who is Ramila Khadiya: A case was registered Monday against the Rajasthan MLA for allegedly slapping a head constable on duty at Banswara.
Mahendra Nath said on the night of June 13, he stopped a youth who was biking on the streets and questioned him of his movements. The man abused him and dialled Khadiya. The MLA rushed to the spot and allegedly assaulted Nath, physically and verbally.
"At a naka, police stopped a youth who was in an inebriated condition. He abused me, grabbed me by my collar and called up the MLA. She reached the spot and started abusing me. While we were talking, the MLA slapped me," ANI quoted Nath saying.
Reports quoting police said Khadiya and some others have been booked in the case.
"The allegations are totally false. He harasses people and demands money in the name of enforcing restrictions," Khadiya said, refuting the constable's accusations.
